Adel Square is a unique new community of cottages and contemporary new homes, situated within a superb landscaped environment in the heart of Adel.

We have a new homes advisor available on site 5 days a week Thursday through to Monday, 10am to 5pm. Call in to the sales centre, email or telephone.

Adel Square comprises a fabulous range of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bed homes, both conversion from the former school and chapel buildings, as well as contemporary styled new homes.

All homes are built to high sustainability standards. This includes high performance insulation, glazing, airtightness, as well as energy efficient boilers.

All homes also have a 10-year structural guarantee for total peace of mind.

A management company has been formed to maintain the shared external areas and ensure its always available to residents.  This includes the shared area within the square and the public art.

First homes will be available from early 2025.

Yes, all homes at Adel Square are freehold which means you own your home outright.

Adel Wood convenience store, Adel bus terminus, Adel Primary School, access to Adel Woods nature reserve with walks and nature trails.

The outer ring road is within 1 mile and Leeds city centre is 4 miles to the south.

The three listed buildings on the site were built in the late 19th Century (circa 1870) as  a school.

  • The Quadrangle – Adel Square – Was school teaching classrooms and dormitories, as well as the headmaster’s and matron’s homes. This is being converted to cottages.
  • The Chapel – Adel Nave – Was never used as a chapel but as a gym! Now being converted to two unique homes.
  • The Swimming Pool – Adel Lido – Was the first indoor heated pool in Leeds and was used to teach the pupils to swim. It is being converted to two fabulous studio office buildings.

Essentially these fabulous historic buildings have been retained and improved.  The external walls have been cleaned and repointed but enhanced with new roofs, windows and internal structures which meet modern building standards. meaning energy efficiency and high quality architecture come as standard at Adel Square.

Advent is a proud family owned, niche Yorkshire residential developer who has completed a range of high-quality award-winning developments.

All homes have at least 2 dedicated car parking spaces, at least one with an EV charging point.

The buildings have been vacant for almost 20 years before Advent saved them.  Previously they were used as a school.

On completion of Adel Square, Adel Nave, Adel Gables and Adel Lido, work will begin on Adel Grove and Adel Moor.

This is a new state-of-the-art 86 bed care home, operated by North Bay Ltd who also operate a similar high-quality facility at Hutton Manor, Pudsey.

We have a detailed list of the proposed specification for all homes which will be built to a high standard.

The computer-generated visuals have been carefully produced to accurately represent the scheme when complete, although there may be slight changes during the build.

We expect the homes to be highly sustainable and typically have a B or C EPC rating. Property specific ratings will be available in due course
